It doesn't matter if your team made it to the Super Bowl or got knocked out of the running weeks ago, everyone has something in common to celebrate: the food!
We're talking shareable snacks, crackling chicken wings, and all the other crowd-pleasing bites that come on the end of a toothpick. But while these tasty finger foods are a necessary part of the starting lineup on Sunday, the real MVPs of the game are the luscious, exceedingly satisfying Super Bowl dips. Dips are the item that disappear the moment they hit the table—if they even make it that far! Classic guacamole? That's a must-have. Caramelized onion dip? Sign us up. Creamy queso? Say no more! If you ask us, all of these fan-favorite party dips deserve a spot on the appetizer table. If you had to choose, though, which dip would you bet on to take home the win?
Ahead of Super Bowl LVII, Google shared some data about the most-searched dip recipes around the country in 2023. From the coasts of California to the ranches of Oklahoma to the skyscrapers of New York, folks are gearing up for the big game by searching for beer dips, taco dips, artichoke dips, and more. The map below shows the most popular Super Bowl dip in every state.
However, there was one clear favorite: buffalo chicken dip. Other popular options include cheese dips, jalepeño popper dips, and spinach-artichoke dips. One state (ahem, the home of The Pioneer Woman!) even prefers a best-of-both-worlds sweet and spicy dip.
