Due to health and safety considerations because of the COVID-19 situation, we’ve decided not to host a physical Geo for Good Summit in California this year. We are saddened that we won’t be able to welcome you here in person however we are planning to shift to a virtual event. Please stay tuned for future updates!

We are excited to share that the application for the 9th annual Geo for Good Summit is now open! The Summit is intended for nonprofits, scientists and other change-makers who want to leverage technology and use mapping tools (such as Google Earth, Earth Engine, and My Maps) for positive impact in the world.

This year’s Geo for Good Summit is a virtual conference to be held October 20-21, 2020. Originally Geo for Good had been scheduled for September 2020 as an in-person event, however due to the extraordinary circumstances this year we have shifted to a virtual event in October.

The Summit will be an opportunity to hear the latest updates about our mapping technologies and learn how others in the public benefit community are using these technologies for impact. The summit will offer a mix of presentations and Q&A as well as on-demand training sessions recorded at previous Geo for Good Summits that you can take at your own pace at any time.

This Summit will bring together the Earth Engine and Earth Outreach communities to one larger event where scientists, nonprofits and changemakers can learn from each other and potentially collaborate on projects for positive impact for our planet and its inhabitants.

The Geo for Good User Summit is hosted by the Google Earth Outreach team at Google headquarters in Mountain View, California. This workshop is designed for mapping & technology specialists in the public benefit sector, who are actively working on projects related to mapping.

Led by the Google Earth Outreach team (with special Google guests), this workshop will teach highly practical tools, which organizations can use to collect, host, analyze, visualize, and publish map data using the power of the cloud.
