This GeoConvergence Workshop, hosted by the American Geographical Society in support of the National Science Foundation’s Convergence Accelerator, will identify opportunities provided by geospatial science and technology across industries and disciplines to forge collaboration between a diverse, global community of thinkers, innovators, and practitioners. GeoConvergence Workshop participants will be able to identify geospatial solutions to societal and environmental challenges, network with others from a variety of backgrounds, and help define the future of research and development.

The NSF Convergence Accelerator’s mission is to address national-scale societal challenges through use-inspired convergence research. Using a convergence approach, the Accelerator integrates multidisciplinary research and innovation processes to transition basic research and discovery toward impactful solutions. More information about the Convergence Accelerator can be found on the NSF Convergence Accelerator website.
